There will be pictures of the children following this post hopefully, but I just wanted to make a note of a weird incident that took place in out house last night. Lewis and I sat down and watched a whole game of football together!! This is a first for Lewis and I in almost six years of marriage (6 years a week on thursday). Lewis has never really expressed much of an interest in football, and I have felt disallusioned with the game since Cantona left Manchester United (wow that man was an amazing footballer). Over the last year or so I have overhead Lewis making conversation with friends about various football games, and of course he plays every night with the Barton Youth (who got to 2nd place in a tournament on saturday - well done lads!). Anyhow, last night SoccerAid was on TV, a game of football organised by Robbie Williams in aid of UNICEF. The teams - England vs the Rest of the World. The ROW team won after a tough battle in sudden death penalties with Woody Harrelson scoring the winning penalty. But for such a small country we sure gave the ROW a run for their money scoring two fabulous goals.
It was a really enjoyable evening and I am now looking forward to watching the world cup together. Opening game for us, England vs the USA...wonder who'll win that then ;)
