At last we are online at the new house and I am sooooo glad. I forget how much of a life line the internet is for me. It provides contact with people I don't get to see much of and helps me to sit down and relax.

Today we have had carpets fitted upstairs which is so nice. I can't wait to get downstairs done to. It is so nice to be able to choose my own carpets rather than having to love with someone else's choice (which in the last house was nasty!)

Tomorrow is April's baptism and I am really looking forward to it. It is something Helen has been hoping for for a long time, and something that she didn't think would happen because John is not really happy about it. I can only hope that thins will work out the same for Caitlin and if she chooses to be baptised when she is 8 she will be allowed to do so by her dad.

Fun and chaos!

Nothing much changes really! We have Caitlin at home this weekend which is lovely, but the madness has already begun with all three of the kids running around Mum's front room screaming and playing tig! Poor Mum! It is so lovely to see them playing nicely all together. It makes me so happy when they are like this and I feel blessed to have them in my life.

Esaias caused us some panic (well me mostly) on wednesday night and we rushed him to Grimsby Hospital at 9:30pm because he was struggling to breath. He is ok now, just suffering with a bad case of croup. We were in and out of the hospital in less than 40 minutes, so we didn't even have to pay for parking! God bless the NHS! Following Martin and Jamie's experience in the USA when they came back with a HUGE medical bill (they even got charged for a mat on the bed because Dylan was sick!) I feel so glad to be here when I have peace of mind that if my children are sick they will be taken care of for free. It's just such a shame that we have so many immigrants exploiting the NHS (happy days in Bolton!) or we could have fantastic service for free and pay our NHS staff what they deserve.

That's positive mental attitude. Something I am trying to acquire, which is easier said than done (well that's not very positive is it Emma? Oh yeah sorry!)
I am a nice person, I am beautiful, I am a valued daughter of my Heavenly Father. I am trying very hard to convince myself of this so if people with negative comments about me could just keep it to themselves I would really appreciate it, even if I cut you up on the road (which I never mean to do, I just get lost very easily)

Ideas

At the moment Esaias and Caitlin are insisting on sharing a bedroom, and it may be that after weg get the bunk beds Nathan will also sleep in there. It is quite a big room and for some reason they all like to be in the same room at bedtime. Obviously, when Caitlin has had enough then we will move her into the other bedroom, but when she is away at the weekend we are hoping to have a foster child stay with us (if we get approved). So here is my question. I welcome any suggestions on how to decorate the bedrooms in a way that is both bright and cheerful for the children (so no creams or beiges), but yet will appeal to both boys and girls of 6 and under. I'm thinking possibly Winnie-the-Pooh, but wondering whether this is too young? Any suggestions are most welcome

And we're still moving...

and oh it is getting soooooo boring now! There has been so much to do at the old house, but all I want to do is to straighten out my lovely new house! I will be so glad when we hand the keys over and it is all over. I guess that Lewis feels the same because he has been a bit grumpy these last few days. However, we did have a nice time chilling out last night watching Bones (and scaring ourselves silly because we are big pansies he he!)
I am so excited about the new house, it really feels like a fresh new start which is simply delicious!
In other news, Esaias and Nathan have both had a haircut today and they look much smarter now. I also bought them both some new shoes, hopefully Nathan will actually wear these ones. I took them to Clark's in Barton (not THE Clarks a different Clarks) It is a lovely family run shoe shop, with such lovely friendly staff (unless your children wear trainers, in which case they are still friendly but you will be on the receiving end of a lengthy lecture - and of course they are right) There are three men who work there and I think that they are Father, Son and Grandson. It is so nice to go to an old fashioned shop where people still speak to you and treat you nicely. Apart from Tesco staff, which are of course always wonderful, so many of the staff in other shops are just rude. Perhaps with the 'Credit Crunch' people will realise that rudeness loses customers and that puts their job in danger...I dare to dream!
