Blissful Thursdays...

On thursdays Caitlin and Esaias stay at school until 6pm for film club and it leaves me and Nathan alone from 1pm. So today we went shopping to get Nathan some Ben 10 shoes like Esaias's, because Nathan wants everything that Esaias does so he can be just like him! After that we had a potter around town and tried to buy Caitlin a uniform for Brownies...that was harder than you'd think! Once we'd done we went to McDonalds and enjoyed an ice cream together. It was so lovely!

Supersize vs Superskinny

When we first got Max he was in desperate need of a diet. These days he is much slimmer and looks very handsome. Above is the newest addition to the Munday family; Muffin.
Muffin is about 10 weeks old. She is another rescue cat, but this cat needs fattening up! Muffin was taken from her mum too soon and so she wasn't weaned properly. The children are crazy about her already, I'm sure she will fit right in.

Lazy day

Today the children and I missed Church and went to the cinema to see "Bob the builder and the legend of the golden hammer". It was a nice, much needed break and we all had a great time.

Life is good...

life is good and normal and boring, but that is a good thing, though it means I have little to report.
Lewis had his first "coachee" yesterday and despite the fact that she came with a sceptical attitude, she told Lewis that the meeting had been successful and that he was mostly responsible for that, which I think has made his week! I also gave in to him buying an I-phone against my better judgement so he is going around with a big grin on his face, taking advantage of Daddy's good mood Caitlin has just asked if she can have a kitten and he said yes he he!
I am plodding along, still enjoying work although have of the school are down with a tummy bug right now and one of my "favourites" ( that I'm not supposed to have them!) has smashed his face up while attempting stunt work on his BMX - silly boy!
Caitlin is hopefully going to join Brownies next week, so as well as being excited about getting a kitten, she is excited about that to.
Esaias is not loving school right now, but is looking forward to going to see Bob The Builder and the Legend of the Golden Hammer at the cinema this weekend and so has improved his behaviour in order to earn this treat!
Nathan and I went swimming today. Nathan is moving around independently (with a swim jacket on) and trying his hardest to swim underwater - on purpose! It was blissful to take just one child swimming, it's been a while since I got to do that. In fact last time I took one child swimming was when I took Caitlin in Bolton while heavily pregnant with Esaias!
So that's us, plodding on and doing well!

God Bless Super Nanny...and my lovely children

Thanks to Super Nanny's Get up and go chart, the children actually got up and got themselves ready pretty much independently today (Nathan needed some help of course). They really enjoyed doing it and where thrilled to bits with their reward at the end, bless. What good children I have :)

20 uses for Avon's Skin So Soft Dry Oil Spray...

I was reading through the Avon forum on facebook and heard that Avon SSS dry oil spray is often used as an insect repellant, weirdly enough the very next day one of the teachers at work asked if I could order her some as she uses it for this very thing when she goes to Scotland. How strange is that!? So anyhow I google it and find there is a LOAD of uses for this stuff. So here are just some of them...

1. It's a bath oil and after shower moisturizer.
2. It can be used to remove makeup.
3. Great tanning oil (not a sunscreen).
4. Hot oil treatment to soften cuticles.
5. Great massage oil for tired muscles.
6. Cleans off tape marks left from bandages on skin.
7. Cleans ink off the skin.
8. Insect repellent.
9. Helps relieve itching caused by dry skin.
10. Cleans oil and grease off of skin.
11. Painting something? Use SSS to remove paint from the hands. (Instead of turpentine).
12. It soothes light sunburn.
13. Rub hands with it before washing, it helps get them cleaner.
14. Rub on dry, cracked skin.... helps heal skin in 2-3 days.
15. Put 1-2 cap fills in liquid soap and use it for shaving legs and under arms. Helps razor glide and leaves skin feeling smooth.
16. Pour a little into your Foot Saver to help moisturize your feet while you relax them.
17. It removes chewing gum from hair, skin, and most nonporous surfaces.
18. Cleans permanent ink off stamps.
19. SSS Original Bath Oil works GREAT on Head Lice!!!!! Saturate head and let it set for 15 minutes. Then rinse under an outdoor faucet, but the lice were gone!!!!!!! Of course shampoo hair a couple of times to get the oil out, but the lice were gone and stayed gone!
20. It kills ants instantly.
