Rounding up

I spent my birthday having a walk on the beach, shopping and eating way too much food. I have now hit the grand old age of 36, which means I am now rounding up to 40 (gulp)

Phineas's 4th birthday party

And so it begins. My little baby turns four. Before I know it he will be in school full time, and sassing me right along with his siblings... oh wait he does that already (they are a bad influence!) We had a lovely day with Phineas for his birthday. He spent the morning at school and he was so delighted to take in two caterpillar cakes to share with his friends! We collected him at lunch and met up with some of his little friends (and some of our friends!) at the Pink Pig. After that we had yet another caterpillar cake after tea, and as you can see by his reaction he was still delighted by the caterpillar cake! He loved all of his presents, but Iron Man has not left his side as yet, including a trip to the hairdressers (Iron Man got a little fuzzy there) I can't wait for Lewis to put together the dumper truck we bought him so he can try it out round the garden. I am hoping he will put it to good use and pick up all of the windfall apples!
And so we begin our countdown to Christmas with mine and Nathan's birthdays quick to follow. This year we will (hopefully) have a whopping 7 children on Christmas Day, This fostering lark is crazy! One thing we have learned though, is that Phineas is the baby of this family, the apple of everyone's eye and no-one is going to change that!

Hello Mrs Munday and Goodbye Sister Munday

Yesterday we welcomed Holly to the Munday family. I am a little frustrated by the lack of photos I took, but I was struggling health wise yesterday, it was a long and tiring day.

No sooner had the Mormon bin bag ladies tidied up one party, we moved on to the next. An informal gathering to say goodbye to our niece Esther as she departs on her mission to Hong Kong. She is an astounding young lady, I am in awe of her.

Esther is in the middle there!

Brain Buddy

Nathan and I have a very similar way of thinking, so much so we call each other brain buddy. However, while I had aims to change the world as a child (I started writing to the Prime Minister around 10 years of age) Nathan has plans to rule the world.
At the moment he is going to Forest School, which he loves! He came out the other day with a bow and arrow and a spear. I asked him if his teacher knew he was planning to take over the world, to which he replied... "No she doesn't. And let's not tell her!" I did have a chuckle.
What an awesome boy!

This boy...

He is the youngest. He is spoiled rotten. He has me wrapped around his little finger. He is Phineas.

Barton Carnival 2016

We got absolutely soaked, but despite the rain we had a great time being part of the parade for Barton Carnival this year. Phineas loved being the pilot of a very fantastic trolley-rocket ship, and waved all the way round! So glad to be home and tucked in our pjs though!

Life is still a bit crazy. I don't quite know what the future holds for our family, but I do know that despite the ups and downs I wouldn't change it. We just try and take it one day at a time.
