School days

Yep, I am still wading through old photos in an attempt to make them all digital. Obviously with the move and the fostering, everything has gone a little off track, but I recently read Spark Joy which has encouraged my decluttering, and I am trying really hard to only surround myself with things that make me feel joy when I look at them.  There are so many things I have been able to let go of, purely because I have recognised that the purpose of the object has been fulfilled and I don't need to keep hanging on to it anymore....
I digress! This photo was taken around 1994 to 1996, nobody in it seems to be able to agree! From left to right is Helen, Me, Emma, Baishali, Suzie with Tom and Paul at the front. As I remember Tome and Paul were not overly keen on being in a friendship photo, but were dragged along anyway! I think on the quiet, Tom was my first love, we definitely had a solid friendship in the years 7 to 9, but sadly the hormones kicked in and they did not agree with Tom! He became a bit of an arrogant twit, I do wonder if he ever pulled through that :D

A bear hunt...

Handsome chaps

This is the moment Lewis got a phone call from his brother with a message from Lewis's mission president. He got a little emotional there, bless him.

We spent a lovely afternoon messing around in Twigmoor Woods, so I took advantage of the beautiful surroundings to snap away.

Didgeridooing!

Thank goodness it's Friday!

A lovely afternoon with my dear husband, Phineas and some friends from Church, followed by a tea time treat at Blyton's Ice Cream parlour with the kiddiwinks. This will all be rounded off with a PJs and movie night with the children.
Our washing machine died today ...but I'm not focusing on that!

Wilderspin School

Such beautiful blue eyes.

I'm sure Nathan would never have got away with such a cheeky smile in the Victorian days ;)

My very handsome husband in his natural teaching role.

A class full of Munday boys causing mischief!

Thank goodness we have digital scriptures now!

No doubt about it, Lewis enjoyed playing on this swing more than the children. I caught a glimpse of the cheeky boy who shoved his little brother (Laren) out of the way to have the first go on a rope swing they had built... and promptly fell and broke both of his wrists!!

Poorly boy

A couple of months ago I did a paediatric first aid course, and since then it seems that Phineas has been testing my skills.  We have been in A&E three times with him since then, poor little guy. This last time was a little on the scary side. He has been coughing for a good few weeks now, but last Saturday his breathing got really fast and I could see he was really struggling. I spoke to Ali (handy to have a best friend paramedic when you have a Phineas!!) who advised I take him up to A&E. We got through a triage nurse and a fairly newly trained junior doctor and I figured I was going to be sent home with some antibiotics, but the junior doctor fetched a more senior doctor to check over what she had advised and he heard the wheeze on Phineas's chest.  We spent a couple of days on Disney ward with Phineas receiving oxygen and hourly nebulisers.  At the time, we just got on with it, but thinking back over it now, it is just so frightening to me.  He is home now, but is still having a high dose of inhalers through the day and night. I am absolutely exhausted, but also can't stand to let him out of my sight.
These things come in threes they say, so hopefully we are done now!
