I accidentally stumbled upon this little meeting the other day. Phineas was taking the minutes...I wonder what was on the agenda?
SO ridiculously excited that my daughter has the quilting bug.  This  is her "Faith" square that will go on her Young Women's Values Quilt.

Phineas, Caitlin and the NHS

Phineas's motto in life is definitely Go Big or Go Home! For this reason, it is a miracle that he reached the age of 2 and a half years old and this is the first time we have had to make a trip to A&E.  Poor little guy burned his finger tips on a chiminea :( but I am pleased to say that this happened just over a week ago, and his fingers are all completely healed.
Not to be outdone by her youngest brother, Caitlin managed to sprain her ankle doing a triathlon, so we had a merry trip to the Minor Injuries Unit, and now have a lovely picture of Caitlin's foot!

Spring 2015

A beautiful, heart warming moment! Phineas has a terrible habit of exploring his big sister's bedroom.  On this occasion he pulled a withered bunch of daffodils and a milkshake bottle out of the bin, and presented them to me. I was almost moved to tears, which just goes to show, gentlemen, it is most certainly the thought that counts!

I am still enjoying walkies in the morning, and in a completely selfish act I have brought another dog to live with us. Spot is a dalmatian cross, 13 years old and has arthritis in his back legs.  He is calm, gentle and oblivious to most everything... I am hoping he will be a calming influence on Dash!! I couldn't bear the thought the he would spend his final days in a dog rescue, and so even though he will probably only spend a relatively short while with us, it will be filled with snuggles and love.

Walking with Dash

I have been making more of an effort to walk Dash daily, and I am so glad that I have!  Even though I am up super early, it has been so nice to start the day at a slightly slower pace than that of a bright eyed and bushy tailed two year old!  It has also reminded me of the beautiful place that I live.
Once more, I feel very blessed.

General Conference 2015

Today I am looking forward to a wonderfully lazy afternoon at my Mum's, but while planning our visit with her she learned that we weren't going to Church today. "No Church on Easter Sunday?!" she exclaimed!  Well, no. Because this year, Easter weekend has nicely coincided with General Conference.   This is a semi-annual event were the Church leaders speak to us via the wonder of the internet.  Which means we stay home to view it by the power of You Tube.  I guess from the outside it may seem strange, but I think what better way to spend Easter than listening to a Prophets and Apostles called by God, whose messages give us direction on how to live our lives today, in our time, having a full awareness and understanding of the challenges we face.  So no, I won't be going to a physical Church, but I will be listening to a Prophet's voice, will you?

Pink Pig April 2015

The boys and I treated ourselves to a fun filled day out at the Pink Pig on Thursday, and I am so glad we did, because right on schedule the rain began on Friday for the Easter weekend! It is such a great place to visit, lots of space, lots of fun and so, so cute animals! Spending time with my children is a real joy, I love them to pieces!

Esaias enters double figures!

Mum treated Esaias to a meal out for his birthday. He had the choice of venues, but he predictably chose McDonalds.  Esaias knows what he likes....

...Which is why, given the choice, he decided he wanted a Frozen cake.  It came down to a choice between Frozen and Batman, Frozen won, on account of the large Olaf the snowman! I am glad my son is man enough to choose what he wants regardless of gender stereotypes!
We really had a lovely, lovely day and of course we gave him the best present of all... a Solar Eclipse (ok, not really, we gave him Disney Infinity 2.0 and a table football game)
